What we collect
When you continue with Apple or Google, we receive a provider-specific account identifier and, when available, your name and email address. We store your Tap & Talk pairing code, accepted friendships, pending requests, session records, and registered device or push-notification tokens.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, prevent unauthorized pairing, connect accepted friends, route notifications, secure private audio sessions, provide support, and protect the service from abuse. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Live audio
Audio is transmitted live between participants through our real-time communications processor. Tap & Talk does not create or offer a replayable voice-message archive. Network providers may process encrypted audio packets transiently to deliver the live session.
Service providers and transfers
We use infrastructure providers for database hosting, real-time audio, authentication, push delivery, and website hosting. They process information only to provide those services under their applicable data-protection terms. Processing may occur outside your country with legally recognized safeguards.
Retention and security
Account and friendship data is retained while your account is active. Expired sessions are removed, and live audio is not retained as a conversation history. We use scoped, short-lived audio credentials and device-bound secure storage, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You can decline requests, sign out, and delete your account and associated data directly in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or object to processing.
Children
Tap & Talk is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in their country, without appropriate parental authorization.
